The market for vine ripened TOMATOES is strengthening due to gapping between mainland Mexico and Baja. Look for this condition to carry well into next week. EGGS are also strengthening which is expected right up to the Easter holiday. All sizes and varieties of PAPAYAS are on the high side due to traditional shortages that occur this time of year. On the other hand, CANTALOUPE, HONEYDEW and WATERMELON are weakening now that warmer weather is allowing for more, better quality product. The ASPARAGUS market is also down and will continue to stay steady for the foreseeable future.
